UPPERCASE was founded on the philosophy that everyone deserves to be who they want to be and express themselves freely. However not everyone gets an equal start at life.
1 in 6 Australian children and young people are living in poverty, where even life's basics are hard to come by.
This fact is a driving force behind UPPERCASE. We exist to improve lives, and to bring awareness to an under-publicised problem in Australia. We are proudly supporting The Smith Family, a children's charity who help disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves.
For every case purchased, we donate 5% of the net sales to The Smith Family. As we grow, our giving and community efforts will continue to grow right alongside us.
The Smith Family has been working to improve the lives of children living in disadvantage for over 100 years. The Smith Family support children in need to participate fully in their education. They provide learning support and mentoring programs to help disadvantaged children to fit in at school, keep up with their peers, and build aspirations for a better future for themselves. For every phone case purchased, we donate 5% of the net sales to The Smith Family + we will donate another 5% for every case posted on Instagram or TikTok.

Consider us an open book
To ensure you know exactly how your purchase makes a difference, we aim to be an open book about the donation amounts to our charity partner, The Smith Family. we donate 5% of net sales per case sold at the end of our financial year, every year. Below is a breakdown of how we reach the allocated donation amount:
Gross Sales of Each Product – Discounts on Each Product – Returns of Each Product - Cost of Goods Sold - Cost of Facebook Ads Used To Market Product = Net Sales
5% of net sales from every order on our UPPERCASE website will be donated to The Smith Family.
Additionally, if customers post a photograph or video of themselves with their UPPERCASE phone case using the hashtag #CasesWithPurpose we will donate another 5% totalling up to 10% of net sales donated per customer. We would also like to note that the donation associated with the sales of UPPERCASE products is not tax-deductible to the purchaser.
At UPPERCASE, we believe it is important to use whatever resources we can to support charitable organisations who are making a difference for our disadvantaged community. We understand the importance of transparency. We’re a young company and launched UPPERCASE in beginning of 2022 and we will provide regular donation updates on social media and our website when we hit notable milestones so you can track our progress and see your impact.
